Gale Nurseries loves spending time giving back to our surrounding community. Through our many charitable efforts and work with local non-profits, we are striving to help create and foster a beautiful, welcoming environment for all.
Bucks Beautiful
The Bulbs for Bucks Program was the inspiration of Bucks Beautiful President, Chuck Gale, to beautify Bucks County at key locations with the first splendor of spring; blooming daffodils! Chuck stated “I like the idea of planting daffodils because the bulbs multiply each year, and the project is long-lasting for future generations to enjoy what we are doing now! To my knowledge, this is the largest bulb planting project in the state of Pennsylvania.”
Phase I of “Bulbs for Bucks” debuted in the fall of 2010, when 40,000 daffodil bulbs were planted along the Route 611 Bypass near Doylestown. Chuck and Christine Gale committed their landscaping services to help Bucks Beautiful complete its mission to plant 1 million bulbs. Due to the overwhelming popularity of the program, we’ve installed over 1.6 million daffodils to date.
We proudly serve as a Community Partner with the Bucks County SPCA. The “Creating Respite for Rescue” project aims to plant native trees to provide a healthy environment to shade the rescued animals from the heat of the summer as they rehabilitate and wait to go to their forever homes. Gale Nurseries was responsible for helping with the tree installations.
